Another week, come and gone like dust in a summer wind.
I should write songs.
This week we did some classic missionary stuff like knocking doors and teaching. Probably the funniest part of the week was all the unique people. This guy flagged us down as we were biking and seemed really cool at first. He asked some questions and we talked for a bit then he announced he was the prophet we have been searching for and he was going to destroy all our temples. Another guy, after a pretty good lesson, told us about how Pope Benedict designed and created Wonder Woman's outfit for the new movie.
It's stories like these that make a homecoming talk great.
Some missionaries somehow find time for hobbies. Some knit blankets, others make music and songs. Personally, I skinny ties.
First, I take a nice tie that's just a bit too fat. Then I open it up, cut it to the size I want and sew it back up. Sometimes other missionaries pay me with ties to alter their ties. It's a whole underground economy among missionaries.
I know, I'm boring. But I don't have many options.
This next week is the last of the transfer! The whole office is coming up for a Zone Conference, which should be lots of fun. It always it.
Hasta later,
Elder Gray
